Over 90 % of the coronary bypass surgery done in this practice is accomplished with the beating heart technique. Our results clearly demonstrate a significant improvement in patient outcomes, including shorter hospital stays, lower stroke rates, less blood product usage, and lower costs.

Recently a new treatment for atrial fibrillation has become available which may be applied during open heart surgery for either valvular heart disease or coronary artery disease. For patients in atrial fibrillation this procedure can restore a normal heart rhythm and free them of the need to take coumadin, as well as reducing the risk of stroke.
