Trusted Expertise
At West Suburban Cardiothoracic Surgery in Waukesha, Wisconsin, you’ll find expertise you can feel supremely confident in. Dr. Paul Seifert is a board-certified fellow of the American College of Surgeons and a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians and highly experienced in all aspects of cardiovascular and thoracic surgical care.
Dr. Seifert is unique in the area for performing over 90% of his coronary bypass procedures with the beating-heart technique. The results: significant improvement in patient outcomes, shorter hospital stays, lower stroke rates, less blood usage and lower costs.
Dr. Seifert uses a new treatment for atrial fibrillation during open-heart surgery. Whether for valvular heart disease or coronary artery disease, the treatment can restore normal rhythm, eliminate the need for Coumadin® and reduce stroke risk.
The practice is known for excellent results and often referred to for the most complex coronary artery and valve procedures and corrective surgeries. Dr. Seifert also teaches other physicians how to perform beating-heart surgery and his techniques for coronary artery bypass for a leading cardiovascular company.
